Summary MFI remained immune to downfall of August and volume of funds increased despite decrease in index.
The whole volume of Mutual Funds Industry (MFI) increased by 2 percent due to issuance of new income funds.According to the Investment Cap report, volume of mutual funds industry reached Rs 2.59 billion in August.Money market fund registered a growth of 22 percent during first two month of current fiscal year. On the other hand, index, equity and Islamic funds remained under pressure.
