Summary Government borrowed over Rs 2 trillion under budget support in first 72 days of current fiscal.
State Bank statistics reveal the government borrowed Rs 2.17 trillion. Rs 30.76 billion were borrowed between September 3 and September 12 from the banking sector.The private sector lent Rs 8.46billion in the corresponding period. The private sector in total have lent Rs 92 billion during the current fiscal thus far.
