Summary Rising trend in the daily use items prices continued even after Eid.
The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI), for the week ended on September 08, 2011, registered increase of 0.53 percent over the previous week.According provisional figures of Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS), during the week prices of 9 items registered decrease, while that of 16 items increase with the remaining 28 items’ prices unchanged.The items which recorded decrease in their average prices during the week under review included tomatoes, chicken (farm), bananas, garlic, sugar, mash pulse (washed), LPG (11 kg cylender), moong pulse (washed) and vegetable ghee (loose).The items which registered increase in their prices included onions, wheat flour (average quality), potatoes, egg hen (farm), red chillies, firewood, beef, wheat (average quality), bread plain (mid size), mutton, gram pulse (washed), gur, curd, masoor pulse (washed), mustard oil, rice (basmati broken).
