Summary Pakistan global ranking under GCI has surged by 5 points.

According to a report issued by World Economic Forum and Competitiveness Support Fund, Pakistan ranked 118 out of 142 countries in the Global Competitiveness Index which was 123 last year.The report is a comprehensive analysis of financial systems and capital markets in 142 countries that explores key drivers of financial system development and economic growth in developing and developed countries and serves as a tool by which countries can benchmark themselves and establish priorities for financial system improvement.Switzerland stands at 1st, US at 5th, UK at 10th and India at 55 numbers.
