The government has imposed 3.5 percent withholding tax on purchase of phutti.Member of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Khawar Khursheed told the media that Law Ministry had approved 3.5 percent tax on ginning factories adding that the FBR had decided to withdraw the tax on purchase of phutti.Cotton dealers welcomed the decision.
