Summary Artificial hike in price has created severe shortage of sugar in the country.
Sugar price has surged again during Ramazan and no stability was recorded in the price of the commodity during the holy month and the consumers have to purchase at high rate.The sugar is being sold at Rs 75 to Rs 100 per kilogram in open market. While the price of 50kg bag of sugar has reached Rs 3,500 from Rs 3,100 during a week.
