Summary Inflation up by 1.80% in July as compared to June's, said Statistics Division Secretary Asif Bajwa.
According to Federal Bureau of Statistics, the prices of food items registerd a growth of 14 percent before Ramazan. The price of sugar increased by Rs 2 per kilogram, while prices of tomatos, chicken, vegetables, flour and pulses increased by 85%, 18%, 14%, 3% and 5% before Ramazan.Asif told the media that 13.92% had been recorded in inflation during the last year. Major increase was recorded in food, vegetables and meat prices.
