Summary A week ago buying rate for Afghani currency was Rs1.50.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Trading of Afghan currency has been halted as dealers are not sure whether the current currency will be applicable after new government in Afghanistan.

According to dealers, trade was halted after concerns rose that whether the new government led by Taliban will continue the same currency or not because generally in such circumstances the currency is either depreciated or changed altogether.

It merits mention that a week ago buying rate for Afghani currency was Rs1.50 and was sold at Rs1.75.
