Summary The prices of food items including other basic products of daily use continue to increase.

The price hike ratio for low income people has become 17.2 percent.According to Federal Statistical Department, pricef of unpacked Ghee and red chili hiked by 40 percent as compare to previous year.Likewise, egg prices increased by 38 percent and rice jumped high by 29 percent.Moreover, meat price increased by 22 percent, pulses by 23 percent and milk by 20 percent.Besides increase in food items’ rates, LPG price increased by 40 percent as compare to last year while, price burning wood increased by 26 percent and power tariff increased by 8 percent.
