Summary The farmers are facing losses despite a record cotton crop cultivated this year.

The Agriculture Department has set a target of crop cultivation over 37,000 acre, but the growers cultivated the crop on more than the set target of land.The cotton price could not go up during the current season and its price remained at Rs 2,400 per maund, while, it was recorded at Rs 6,000 per maund during the last season.Provincial Agriculture Minister Ahmed Ali Aulakh has urged the federal government to take steps to save the growers from losses.
