Summary New companies registration remained quite disappointing at Karachi Stock Exchange this year.
Introduction of capital gain had an adverse effect on the overall trading volume. Only three new firms were registered over the current year, five less than last year’s. However, KESC 100 Index gained by 27 percent.On the other hand, the volume of traded shares went down by 40 percent and their prices declined by 46 percent.
