Summary The agreement with Iran to purchase electricity has been rectified, according to sources.
According to the agreement, electricity was to be purchased at Rs 5.31 per unit, but now its rates have been settled at Rs 5.95 per unit with an increase of Re 0.64 per unit. Power tariff will be surged by Rs 3.19 till 2013, sources said. Pakistan is purchasing 39MW power from Iran.
