Summary Dairy farmers in Karachi once again increased the milk prices by Rs 70 per maund.
Dairy Farmer Association President Haji Akhtar told Dunya News that from June 1st, milk prices per maund would increase by Rs 70. On the retail level, the price of milk would be Rs 68 per litre. Earlier, the city government had set the retail price of milk at Rs 60 per litre but the milk was being sold at Rs 66 per litre. After the fresh hike in milk price, the consumers’ price has reached Rs 68 per litre. On the other hand, the official departments have failed to control the prices.
