Summary Traders are not willing to pay RGST or any type of tax and are reluctant to make big deals.

The traders threatened to close business if any increase in taxes would be announced in upcoming budget. The traders say that their business have already been damaged due to gas and power load shedding and if any additional tax is imposed, it would prove the last nail in the coffin. There are 21,000 traders in the city and about 300,000 people are associated with these businesses in one way or the other.
