Summary The government obtained Rs 6.24 trillion loans from the banking sector this fiscal year.
According to a State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) report, the loans worth Rs 1.69 trillion were obtained during the period between April 30 and May 7 (one week) in which SBP paid Rs 32 billion while the scheduled banks extended Rs 127 billion loans to the government.The private sector obtained loans worth Rs 1.12 trillion in this fiscal year.
