Summary The sale of fertilisers has fallen by 9 % during first quarter of the year due to gas load shedding.
According to National Fertiliser Development Centre, 1.7 million ton fertilizer was purchased from January to March.Due to increase in prices and slow production, the sale of DAP reduced to 33,000 tons with fall of 32 % as compared to last year. Sale of Urea also fell by 2 percent as compared to last year.According to a JS research report, 10 to 12 percent shortage of gas supply has affected this sector.
