(Web Desk) – Advisor to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Abdul Razak Dawood said on Saturday that the government has been taking effective measures to facilitate innovation and promote entrepreneurship in the country.
He was addressing the ‘Applied Entrepreneurship- Think & Grow International Conference’ organised by the Pakistan Industrial Technical Assistance Centre (PITAC) in Lahore.
Dawood said the country needed more entrepreneurs to enhance business activities.
The advisor emphasised that young entrepreneurs should adopt a long-term strategy to be successful in their respective fields instead of looking for overnight success.
Later, talking to the media persons, he said that the country’s economy was moving towards a right direction, however, more efforts were needed for further improvement.
Govt committed to evolve business-friendly policy for textile sector
Dawood said that government is committed to evolve a business-friendly policy for the textile sector.
Addressing another meeting of the task force formed to formulate the third textile policy for year 2019-2024 in Lahore, he said the government would support and facilitate the textile sector while terming it as “the most important sector for the country’s economy.”
