Summary From July-December, 2018-19, country imported 65,854 metric tons of soyabean oil.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The import of edible oil including soybean and palm into the country during first half of current financial year reduced by 52.28 percent and 10.19 percent respectively as against the imports of the corresponding period of last year.
According the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, during the period from July-December, 2018-19, country imported 65,854 metric tons of soyabean oil valuing 48.756 million dollars as compared the 114,131 metric tons worth of 102.162 million dollars of same period of last year, which was down by 52.28 percent.
Meanwhile, country imported about 1.506 million tons of palm oil valuing 931.659 million dollars as compared the import of 1.378 million tons worth of 1.037 billion dollars during same period of last year, which was down by 10.19 percent.
