Summary Textile mills associations warned the authorities of a protest, in case of low gas pressure.
Refusing the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) load shedding schedule, the industrialists in Faisalabad opened the factories on Wednesday. Six textile associations jointly announced that their factories would not be shut and they would not accept three-days a week load shedding.They said that if the SNGPL tried to lower the gas pressure they would announce a protest plan. Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association Chairman Sheikh Saeed said that Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani had announced that the gas load shedding would end on March 15, but even after passing a month, the load shedding timings were increased from two-days a week to three-days a week.
