Summary The Dairy Farmers Association has proposed a price increase of Rs 8-10 per litre of milk.
The Karachi City Government and the Dairy Farmers Association will be meeting today to discuss the increase in milk prices. Representative of consumer organisations will also be taking part in the meeting. The city government will be making an announcement after the meeting. On April 1, the dairy farmers increased the prices of milk by 320 per maund. After the city government proposes to review the milk prices in a meeting on April 4, the decision by the dairy farmers to increase the milk prices was withdrawn.
