Pak foreign reserves increase to $17.95 billion

Summary Pakistans foreign exchange reached to a record high.

With an increase of 2.62 percent, the reserved crossed $17.95 billion this week.According to the data issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the country’s foreign reserves increased by $460 million. Reserves held by the SPB reached $14.54 billion with an increase of $449.5 million, and those held by commercial banks also increased to $3.41 billion with an increase of $15.9 million. Foreign exchange reserves touched a record high because of rise in remittances.
