ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - After revising the prices of petroleum products for the current month, the government has also increased the sales tax on them.
As per details, the sales tax on petrol has increased by 5% to 12%. Diesel has witnessed a hike from 7% to 24%.
The sales tax on kerosene has augmented by 5% to 12% while on light diesel it has gone from 8% to 9%.
Earlier, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs4.26, High Speed Diesel by Rs6.55, kerosene oil by Rs4.46 and Light Diesel Oil by Rs6.14 per litre.
The new prices are effective from Tuesday (June 12).
According to the summary, with the latest increase, the new price of petrol will be Rs91.96 per litre; High Speed Diesel Rs 105.31 per litre; Light Diesel Rs 74.99 per litre and Kerosene Oil Rs 84.34.
