Summary NEPRA has also summoned plan of load shedding in the metropolis during holy month of Ramazan.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Tuesday is mulling to take legal action against K-electric over traumatizing load shedding and unannounced power cuts in Karachi; the economic hub of Pakistan.

On the other hand, SUI Northern Gas has also halted supply of gas till payment of pending bills.

NEPRA stated that Bin Qasim Power Station-I was not run at its full capacity from March-27 till April-10. NEPRA stated that situation deteriorated in the metropolis due to hike in demand and resduction in supply.

To keep situation under control, NEPRA has directed K-electrics to operate Bin Qasim Power Station-II and Korangi Combined Cycle Power Plant through alternative source of energy.

Furthermore, NEPRA has also summoned plan of load shedding in the metropolis during holy month of Ramazan.
