Summary Due to increasing circular debt and administrative problems, production of oil refineries has been decreased by 6 percent during the first 8 months of the current fiscal year as compared to the same period of last year.

According to Topline Research, from July 2010 to February 2011, production of oil refineries remained 5.1 million tones. On monthly basis, 6.73 lakhs petroleum products were provided in February which was 20 percent higher.Refineries are working on 76 percent of their capacity is the highest level in the last 14 months. However, fear grips the sector due to rising circular debt and demand duty.
