Summary Currency dealers told that big changes in dollar price are unlikely under SBP watch

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The most recent 10-paisa hike in the open market has taken the price of the US dollar to Rs. 110.10.

Earlier in the day, dollars value had increased by 25 paisas in the international open market standing equal to Rs 111. Many currencies witnessed an increase in value relative to Rupee with Euro equaling to Rs 130.50 after an increase by 50 Paisas in value.

On the other hand, a decrease of 3 paisas was witnessed in the dollar price for the inter-bank transactions or inter-bank market, closing its value at Rs. 110.47.

Currency dealers told that big changes in the dollar price are unlikely under the strict watch of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Previously, slide in rupee had halted after SBP intervened at the interbank market asking banks to pump dollars which forced the domestic currency to move in a narrow band. Domestic currency had closed at Rs 110.52.
