(Dunya News) - French car maker Renault SA is in talks with UAE’s Majid Al Futtaim to create a company in Pakistan, which would be fully owned by the Emirate company, Le Figaro reports Tuesday without citing sources.

According to news arriving from foreign news agency, the Renault was previously in talks with two Pakistani companies, Dewan and Gandhara, to build a plant in Pakistan

Renault and Majid Al Futtaim signed a memorandum of understanding in July.

The companies plan to build a plant in Karachi’s industrial area to make as many as 50,000 Duster SUV vehicles a year

Renault declined to comment to Le Figaro. The companies plan to build a plant in Karachi’s industrial area to make as many as 50,000 Duster SUV.
