Summary Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has directed the Federal Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh to resolve the circular debt issue on priority basis.
In a meeting with the Secretary Petroleum Imtiaz Qazi and MD PSO Irfan Qureshi, Prime Minister asked the Finance Minister to discuss the issue and to come up with a solution after holding meetings with the concerned officials of petroleum, water and power and railways.The Secretary Petroleum briefed the PM about circular debt issue and the energy supply and demand situation, with a particularly reference to the gas supply in the country.
