Summary Current economic year’s first two months saw a 13% increase in the foreign remittance
KARACHI (Dunya News) – According to State Bank of Pakistan, from July to August 2017, overseas Pakistanis sent $3.5 billion in foreign remittances back to Pakistan which is 13% more than last year’s remittances, reported Dunya News.
According to details, last year foreign remittances totaled to $3 billion. This years’ month of August saw a great amount of remittances being sent back home. The total amount sent b overseas Pakistanis was $1.95 billion.
According to experts, the upsurge in foreign remittance is necessary for a health economy because they help in paying debts and keeping the economy stable.
