Cotton prices hit a record high in Pakistan and reached Rs 11,700 per maund, Dunya News reported on Thursday.According to market experts, the fresh wave of surge in cotton prices was due to increase in cotton prices in international markets. They said that a big cyclone has hit Australia which has destroyed 3 lakh bales of cotton, therefore, the prices up in international markets. Prices in New York cotton markets has also increased by $2 per pound.
