Summary
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has allowed Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) to raise power tariff by 96 paisas per unit, Dunya News reported on Tuesday. The fresh hike in power tariff has been approved for the month of December in the form of fuel adjustment charges. Nepra sources said that KESC is being provided 650MW excessive electricity, which is causing loadshedding in other areas of the country. Nepra also warned KESC to re-run the closed plants or face the show cause notice.
