KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday gained 559 points in intraday trading to touch new high of 50,715 mark.
As a result of bullish momentum, price of shares swelled by Rs85 billion and overall volume of shares exceeded Rs10,000 billion for first time in the history.
Cement and steel sector continues to shine owing to massive increase in construction activities under umbrella of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Earlier, PSX crossed 48,000-point level on Jan 2, 49, 000-point level on Jan 4 and 50,000-point level on Jan 24 respectively.
Analysts are anticipating that PSX may cross 60,000 mark soon.
