ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan on Wednesday slapped duty up to Rs56 on per kilogram import of cotton thread from India’s Tamil Nadu, Ludhiana, Andhra Pradesh, Chennai and other cities.

Chairman Cotton Ginners Forum Ehsanul Haq told Dunya News that price of best available cotton in market has soared by Rs200 to Rs7000/maund.

It may be recalled that the federal government had already achieved set target of 10.5 million bales.
