Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Shahid Kardar has said that the poor policies are causing price hike of daily use items. Talking to media, he said the main reason of price hike was bad governance and the present government was not serious to provide relief to the poor. He said there was no shortage of supply but to control the further increase in prices, proper monitoring is required. He mentioned that no extra money would be paid to the provincial governments, adding that deficit showed 1.6 percent decline in the first quarter. He said that a loan worth Rs 1,000 billion is needed to meet the deficit.
