LAHORE (Dunya News) – Reduced supply of chicken across the country and surge in price is feared in the coming days owing to duty tax, reported Thursday.

Poultry association has demanded the government to end duty tax on imported chicken seeds.

According to the details, the government has been demanded to either end duty tax on parent stock and grandparent stock or maintain it at three percent like agricultural crops.

The association has stated that 21 percent duty on grandparent results in surged price of Rs 690 for one-day old chick.

Traders have demanded the government to end alleged discriminatory attitude towards poultry industry as it is a vital role player in the economy.
