Summary Govt was successful in achieving target by giving minimal benefits to public of reduced crude oil
KARACHI (Dunya News) – For the first time in history, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has been closest to tax-collection target, reported Dunya News.
According to FBR sources, tax worth Rs 3035 billion had been received while a total value of the tax target will be achieved till the last day of the current fiscal year.
The sources also stated that this was the first time in the history that the tax-collection target will be achieved without any modifications.
Along with the imposition of additional tax worth Rs 40 billion, the government had been successful to achieve tax targets by giving minimal benefits to the public of reduced price of crude oil in international market.
This was the actual reason that government had been successful in achieving the set target in terms of tax-colection for the year 2015-16.
