Summary Direct foreign investment increased by five percent
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign investment dropped by 65 percent in ten months of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2015-16, reported Wednesday.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), foreigners invested around USD 630 million in July 2015-April 2016 period compared to last fiscal year’s more than USD 1 billion.
However, direct foreign investment increased by five percent but investors withdrew around USD 380 million during the first ten months.
Experts have said that local and foreign investors would trust Pakistani’s economy more if the government betters its policies.
