KSE: Rise in open interest future contracts

At the end of the week, the interests for future trading in the Karachi Stock Exchange increased by 1.6%.Open interest at future counter increased by 0.78 million rupees to reach 49.4 million rupees. The spread of future trading also decreased by 10% to 2.4%.Average volume of futures jumped up by 16% to become 1.6 million shares. Trading of the shares of PSO, ENGRO, Pakistan Oil Fields, MCB and OGDC remained prominent. The total shares of these companies remained 71% in overall trading.
