Inflation has increased by 8 percent in the country during the last week, while overall increase in inflation recorded at 19.44 percent. According to the report of Federal Bureau of Statistics, an increase in the rates of 53 essential commodities was recorded for the week ending on September 30 while prices of 10 commodities were plummeted. Prices of tomatoes, flour, rice, meat, pulses and banaspati ghee jumped up while those of potatoes, onions, chicken and bananas went down.
