ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Government has put 69 national institutions on ‘sale’ in the name of privatization including Pakistan International Airline (PIA), Pakistan Railways, Sui Northern, Sui Northern and many other corporations and institutions. Dunya News has on Thursday obtained the list of the institutions to be privatized.

The government is bent on selling everything. Out of the total 69 institutions and corporations on the list, 39 are to be sold at the earliest. PIA, Pakistan Railways, National Shipping Corporation, National Bank, State Life and all the other major institutions will be sold out.

Looking at the list of institutions up for privatization, it seems there would hardly be any institution left with the government. Civil Aviation Authority, National Highway Authority, Port Qasim Authority, First Women’s Bank and House Building Finance Corporation are also on the list.

Moreover, the government is also planning on getting rid of Convention Center Islamabad, Printing Corporation of Pakistan and Utility Stores Corporation in the name of privatization.

Sui Southern and Sui Northern gas companies and electricity distributing companies have also been put on sale.
