Pakistan to export rice worth USD 40 crore to Indonesia

Summary In 2013, a free trade pact was signed between Pakistan and Indonesia

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan and Indonesia on Thursday have entered a rice deal under free trade pact that was signed in 2013.

Ministry of Trade has stated that Indonesia’s State Logistic Company has made a deal with Trade Corporation of Pakistan for import of rice.

According to the agreement Pakistan will export 10 lac metric tonne rice worth USD 40 crore from 2016-19. At the time, trade total between the two sides is above USD 2 billion.

In 2013, a free trade pact was signed between Pakistan and Indonesia.
