State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) deputy governor Muhammad Kamran Shahzad said that Pakistan has to spend 7 percent of GDP on infrastructure to get 7 percent growth rate. Inaugurating the 5-day training programme being launched jointly by the SBP and the World Bank in Karachi, he said that private sector has great importance in the progress of infrastructure sector. He said that banking sector has overall portfolio of Rs 284 in infrastructure sector in which 68 percent is only in power sector.
