First mango shipment off to Doha

The export of mangoes has been kicked off as the first shipment s off to Doha. CEO Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company Bashir Hussain inaugurate the ceremony orgnaised to mark the export of the fruit in Karachi. The first shipment to Doha is carrying 1200kilogram mangoes of Almas Aam of gardens of Tandoala Yar. Pakistan would export seasonal fruit worth $500billion to Iran, Afghanistan, Doha, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. The new markets of Japan, Sri Lanka, Korea, England and Holland would also be explored.
