The price of wheat increased to Rs 910 per ton; however the farmers are unable to get the official price of Rs 950During the start of the season lack of interest from the government from the government, the price of wheat almost crashed in many districts of southern Punjab, ranging between Rs 785 per 40 kg to Rs 810 against the officially announced support price of Rs 950. Punjab food department has announced that it would continue to purchase 124,000 tons of wheat at the official price.
