Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Sohail Ahmad said Value Added Tax (VAT) would be implemented from July 2010 whereas it would not increased the inflation. Talking to media here, Shoail said FBR has completed the preparations for the implementation of VAT whereas it would be implemented with legal consultations. He said VAT is an alternative of General Sales Tax and it would not increase the inflation. About sales tax on sugar would reduce revenues upto Rs2billion.
