The cotton prices reached at its all time high in countrys history, i.e Rs 7,000 per maund. Increase demand in the local cotton market has resulted in increase of cotton prices. The cotton price soared by Rs300 to Rs7,000 per maund in the local market. According to sources, the cotton price is constantly soaring, and added that the industry is facing shortage of 25,0000 maunds. The traders are concerned over the ban by India on cotton export.
