During the six months of current fiscal year, a sum of Rs106.26billion loan has been given to the growers.According to State Bank, a rise of 6.8 percent has been recorded between July to December 2009 agricultural loans.Five big commercial banks namely: Allied Bank, Habib Bank, MCB Bank, National Bank and United Bank collectively gave Rs55.39billion to the farmers in loan, while Zarai Taraqiati Bank gave out Rs30.42billion in this regard.
