Summary
Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has rejected the second proposal summary to supply out-of-turn gas to Naudero-2 rental power plant. According to sources, Ministry of Petroleum had presented the summary for approval in Jan. 12 meeting of the ECC to provide 15 million cubic feet gas supply for the rental power plant, although this summary was not a part of the agenda. Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen has rejected the summary and directed that approval should be taken prior to the installation of the gas pipeline project to install the gas pipeline. The summary to supply gas to Naudero-2 rental power plant was also rejected in the ECC meeting on Dec. 15. According to sources, Petroleum Ministry can apply for approval of the summary from the Cabinet.
