Islamabad (Online) - International Trade Committee of European Parliament, Wednesday, approved the Single Delegated Act aimed to give greater trade access to ten countries, including Pakistan under the Generalized Scheme of Preferences (GSP Plus).
According to Foreign Office Spokesman the Single Delegated Act will now be approved by the European Parliament in December 2013. After approval by the European Parliament, the Act will come into effect from 1st of January 2014.
In a statement issued here the Spokesman said that in the run up to the voting in the Trade Committee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassies abroad, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, ran a focused campaign to enlist support by the EU Governments and members of European Parliament.

The approval of the GSP Plus reflects the commitment of the European Union to its relations with Pakistan.
