Weekly Inflation reached at 12.1 percent

Inflation rate, for the week ended on December 17, has registered decrease of 0.24 percent over the previous week and reached at 12.1 percent. According to figures of Federal Bureau of Statistics, for the lowest income group up to Rs.3,000, the SPI for the week under review in the above mentioned group was recorded at 13.6 percent as compared to the value of previous week.For the income group up to Rs.5,000, inflation remained 12.8 percent while for income group up to Rs 12,000, inflation rate recorded at 11.6 percent.During the week under review average prices of 11 items registered decrease, while that of 15 items increase with the remaining 27 items prices unchanged.
