The open interest of future deals surged to Rs 236 million, up 94 percent in the Karachi Stock Exchange during the last business week, Dunya News Sunday reported. Last week, spread of deliverable futures for November increased by Rs 114 million while spread of future deals surged to 8.9 percent with an increase of 10.5 percent. The average business volume of future deals closed with an increase of 136 percent. OGDC, Pakistan Petroleum Limited, Pakistan State Oil and MCB remained volume leaders. The collective share of these companies in open interest remained 86 percent.
